Marx Playsets
Marx playsets reached popularity during the mid-twentieth century. These sets are comprised of toy soldiers, structures and accessories. Examples of Marx playsets include the Roadside Service Station and the Sunnyside Service Station. They also included German and American soldiers, Indians and cowboys, elaborate forts and medieval castles. One play set entitled Battle of the Blue and Gray was a depiction of both sides during the Civil War. There are also mining and farm sets. Marx playsets are still revered, played with and collected today.
